The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving and automating processes, assisting in the maintenance of systems, and recommending process improvements to enhance system reliability while keeping costs down. The location of this position is Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Improve and automate processes to streamline system maintenance and enhance efficiency.
• Assist in the maintenance of systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Recommend process improvements that can enhance system reliability and optimize costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and processes.
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Configure and modify CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate software builds, testing, and deployment processes.
• Compile and integrate open-source tools to enhance system capabilities and performance.
• Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the C2S environment to deploy and manage cloud-based infrastructure.
• Demonstrate understanding of observability platforms and log inspection techniques to monitor and troubleshoot system issues.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant experience.
  Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Experience configuring and modifying CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Familiarity with compiling and integrating compiled open-source tools.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the C2S environment.
• Understanding of observability platforms and log inspection techniques.
• BA/BS Degree in related field or other relevant degrees (5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
• US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
